It's part of a lady's upbringing, Break had been not-so-gently reminded as Sharon learned the nuances of the piano's keys, so it was perhaps out of frustration that he decided to take the seat next to her and guide her hands along the way.

Truthfully, Shelly had been worried about her progress with the aloof and distant young man that she had come to take on as a personal project, but to see him sitting silently by her daughter's side as she suffered from a nasty cold—even if he had an expression like he would rather be anywhere else—was enough to assure her that there was still good in his heart.

When Noire had commented that Alistair's personality reminded her vaguely of a dog, he had been immensely flattered with the picture of a Mabari warhound in his head, but as it became clear the more she explained that the dogs she was used to were a bit more diminutive and significantly slower-witted, he couldn't help but feel that little burst of ego slowly withering away.

"Oh, yeah, I really like blondes, honestly," Alistair admits candidly, but it's as he sees Noire's face turn as red as the bloom of Andraste's grace that it belatedly dawns on him that she's blonde.

When it came to gifts, Alistair was never exactly flashy, and when it came to giving them to others, he certainly wasn't eloquent, so it's an awkward, rambling mess as he tries to explain how they reminded him of her, or how he thought they would look nice in her hair, but when he finally gives up and just offers the elegant, snow-white feathers he had found in North, her smile turns soft as she understands.

It's too much of a temptation to see the corner of the chocolate bar still poking out from between his lips, so Diva nearly brushes their lips together as she leans forward to take it, and she decides that the sweetness she misses from not being able to taste the chocolate itself is made up for how his face immediately turns red.

Feeling powerless was something Diva was well-acquainted with, but she had never felt such a great pang of it as when she had taken it upon herself to care for Garry when he had fallen ill, because in her ignorance of humans, the cold he had come down with seemed the same as a deathly illness,

As Garry's eyes light up with an amazed wonder to see the pot of blue roses growing in her apartment, Diva can't help but laugh, because she wonders how much he would hate them if he knew that it was her poisonous, monstrous blood that made them.

Garry had only asked out of curiosity, but seeing Diva get so animated as she explained nearly all the differences between a Chiropteran and Dracula was more than he was expecting, both in information and in how it added another strangely endearing trait to what he knew of her.

When he went into battle, Libra always said a prayer for safety and victory, and though Tharja had scorned such a practice as they began to fight alongside each other, he couldn't help but notice that now her head would bow ever so slightly as he offered his words.

Though the Taguel were a great, proud race, and Panne herself was no exception to this rule, she had come to realize throughout their years together that the moments she treasured most were when Frederick would reach out shyly, even when they were alone, to gently run his fingers against the fur of her ears.
