Personality;
Yuuko is quite the eccentric woman. One moment she might be cheering for a new can of beer and the next be completely serious and focused on her job of selling wishes. Depending on when you meet her, your impression of the Dimension Witch will be quite different. If you come with a wish, you'll see Yuuko's colder side. Yuuko Ichihara is a shrewd businesswoman, just in an unusual trade. Since she sells wishes, she appears to be quite cold and indifferent to her customers most of the time. This is largely because Yuuko doesn't want to interfere. Even if their wish is damaging or deadly, Yuuko will not stop a person from making it. She may advise against it, sometimes more subtly than others. Because of that coldness, some of her customers come to resent her, but Yuuko is always ice cold.
Her way of business requires that kind of coldness as well as her own beliefs. Yuuko believes very strongly in hitsuzen (fate, inevitability), so every customer that walks into her shop is drawn there by fate. They come to have a wish granted, so it's Yuuko's duty to do so. Whether she agrees with the wishes is irrelevant. Even if a wish causes the death of a person, Yuuko will show little or no regret. She is a neutral party in the matter of her wishes, and is merely a method to do so. She also has a tendency, depending on the wish to not even seem to do anything at all, and instead leave people to their own willpower, means, or anything in between. She will step in to help when necessary, but she will not walk a person along the 'correct' path. Yuuko believes that they must find this path and do it themselves.
Obviously, this makes her a very smart and perceptive woman. Perhaps her powerful magic helps her with this, but there's no doubt that Yuuko possesses great knowledge of magic and the world itself. Even being able to quote dictionaries, Yuuko is a very intelligent woman, but not always showy about it. She does not proclaim her power or intelligence boldly, instead quietly using either when necessary or convenient. Yet Yuuko is also very fair in her business. The price for a wish in her shop is always something of an equal value, nothing less and nothing more. If more than necessary is given, then Yuuko will give a proportional amount in her wish. However, if the price is too low, the wish will not be granted, which she is very steadfast about.
Yuuko is also very dedicated, though this side of her is one that's kept somewhat secret because of her past. Yuuko has been waiting for an event that she had no idea how long it would take to come around. She knew her role in the larger world and what it meant for her as well as those that she would come to care for, but never hesitated to keep with it despite the pain she knew would be along the way.
Despite her business, however, Yuuko is a completely different woman than her customers would expect. Yuuko is a lazy, conniving, selfish, and shameless alcoholic. She's never malicious in her actions, despite what Watanuki-kun would say, and instead has a teasing air. It's her delight to pick on Watanuki and make him do the work that she's simply too lazy to do, such as cooking or cleaning. She'll make him go out of his way to get her more alcohol or hangover medicine (both of which seem to be daily), and has a kind of whimsical and fun-loving nature when she's not working. While it may seem that alcohol or whatever other whimsy she may want may be the motive for her trips, parties, and 'dates' with Watanuki and his friends, they often have a much deeper meaning, meant to teach them about the world of magic and all things associated with it.
She's certainly a mysterious woman too. She's well known in any aspect of the spiritual or magical realm, and across dimensions themselves. Yet no one knows Yuuko's real name, history, or even age. All things about herself are quite secret, and she obviously means to keep it just that way. Her power and prestige make her well known across worlds, but her real personality of fun-loving and alcohol drinking is just as well known, which makes her both the friend and enemy of many.

[Her arrival in this new world is unexpected, which is not exactly an uncommon feeling. However, but for a woman that knows about the threads of existence, who knows the intimate workings of fate... Something unexpected is so much more significant than being something out of the ordinary.
You wouldn't be able to tell how much she's troubled by this turn of events, however, because her broadcast to the network comes on the evening of her arrival and the elegant woman is all smiles. She holds up a bottle of Japanese liquor to the camera with a playful smile.]
Ahh~!! I had to admit, I was quite worried to arrive here, because I wondered, what if there wasn't any good liquor? But it's such good luck that there are excellent liquor stores!
[She sets the bottle against her face, sighing contently]
It's a cause for celebration, after all! Arriving in a new world, that's something that requires quite a lot of power. I never thought I would get the luxury, but it seems I'm favored by gods.
[She chuckles, starting to take the cork out with a corkscrew that she found with a grin] Heh, well if I'm favored, then I should share that favor with the rest of the chosen! If they've given us such fine wine, then the only choice is to drink it, naturally. ♥ Raise a glass to the moon this evening and thank them for their kindness—It will certainly bring good fortune.
[The grin softens as she pours a glass for herself, but pauses with a curious expression to the camera as she rests it against her lips.] Ah... But I can't help but wonder what other worlds they've managed to touch. Why don't we share in this lovely evening together and share stories of our worlds? It would be a great welcoming ceremony.
